Welcome to the first edition of the weekly Korea game rankings! Do note that different ranking websites have different statistics, and mine is from a website call GameNote. So, for last week, League of Legends took back 1st place from Blade & Soul, which is a personal surprise. The biggest “shock” was how Diablo 3 dropped 8 places down to 11th, out of the top 10! At spot 47, Queen’s Blade has the fastest rise up, jumping a whole 21 places.

Legend of Wukong – First look at the game
For a short while, the game was kind of hyped back in China, after developer Baiyou showcased what seems to be a Free to Play “Blade & Soul + TERA clone” in the form of Legend of Wukong. Fast forward a few months, the game still has yet to launch in its homeland, but the Taiwan server just went into Closed Beta mode. If you look at the list of Dungeons & Dragons computer games, you will notice that there haven't been many in recent years. It seems that the D&D brand these days is mostly used to promote B-list generic fantasy games in which the gameplay hasn't got anything to do with Dungeons & Dragons. Star Wars: The Old Republic goes “Free-to-Play”
Most of you would have read about this piece of news now, and personally, I wouldn’t have thought SWTOR is going “Free to Play” so early, perhaps early next year is a better time. But well, the game will really be free all the way to level 50, but comes bundled with “gameplay restrictions that limit access to advanced features and group content.” Basically, it is a “Freemium” model. MapleStory adds yet another new class
