Rebuilding EN World
I don't often pledge money on Kickstarter, as I am wary of projects never making it to release. But today I pledged £25 to help rebuild EN World, one of the best RPG sites out there. The site was hacked last month and is now trying to rebuild lost code. They didn't exactly need my money for this, being already at £16,400 of pledges of a £300 goal. But I thought that this might be an opportunity to show my appreciation. It is always nice to see when the community comes together!

Don't get confused if you read that it looks Asian: Akaneiro does not look like the thousand other Asian Free2Play MMORPGs. My D&D campaign just started the level 4 adventure, which based on previous form will take around 5 sessions. So this weekend I started preparing the adventure after that, at level 5. Emergency key layout for when things go wrong.
Normally everything's going right, so I tend not to use my PANIC keys very much. Which means when I do panic and really need them I can never remember which combination of Ctrl+Shift+Opt+Alt+whatever I need to press.
This gives me quick access to those drop-agro, get out of jail free spells, in roughly the groupings I need them.

Playing Dishonored directly after Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the similarities between the two games are striking. Deus Ex replayability
I abandoned Deus Ex: Human Revolution in the middle of my second playthrough. The first time I played the game in non-lethal sneak mode, trying to see every corner and every side-quest with a minimum of violence. Played that way, Deus Ex is a long game, it took me over 50 hours to finish. But then I wanted to play through the game again, the lethal way, and that goes a lot faster. And easier. And turned out to be a lot less interesting to me.
