Good news for people who've been sick to death of Cataclysm's terrible meta gem requirements (read: everyone): Blizzard has made their promised changes to Chaotic and Relentless gem types in patch 4.0.6, making both require three red gems. But that's not all! There are also three brand-new meta gems coming with the new patch, giving DPS classes a boost to their main stat and 3% increased crit damage. Good changes all around.
