Sony Online Entertainment just announced that the MMORPG Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is going free-to-play. No more details were revealed, but SOE says that players should expect something along the lines of their other retail titles gone free, EverQuest, EverQuest II and DC Universe Online.The new and free Vanguard will be available this summer and SOE says that the game is getting updated more frequently.
